Subaru is Australia's favourite car
Subaru has been ranked the favourite brand of Australian motorists in an independent online survey.
According to the ProductReview.com.au website, Subaru ranked first, ahead of Mitsubishi and Honda.
According to the site: “Subaru drivers appear to be the happiest on our roads voting their car number one for value, quality, comfort, performance and reliability.”
ProductReview.com.au’s official news release says: “Japanese manufacturer Subaru… took race honours with a rating of 4.23 stars closely followed by fellow Japanese car makers Mitsubishi with a rating of 4.11 stars and Honda with 4.1 stars.
It adds: “The following quote is from a happy Subaru Forester XS driver who left their review on January 27, 2007.
“ ‘I am driving my 5th Subaru Forester that I have purchased. I change every 2 years. I cannot fault them, the only change I would like to see is radio controls on the steering wheel. An excellent vehicle.’”
ProductReview.com.au has been online since 2003 and claims to be Australia’s leading product review website.
According to ProductReview.com.au 2368 rating reviews were submitted for 19 car manufacturers across the following categories: 4WD / AWD, convertibles, hatchbacks, people movers, sedans, sports, utes and wagons (as of 12/7/07). Manufacturers with less than 30 reviews or those with less than five website Member Reviews were not included in the ranking.
